I think Mrs. Henry is the most educational and informative ballet teacher who has ever instructed me. For example, she has introduced me to new ballet terms and techniques that I've never known before, such as entrechat, which is an upward jump, the legs crossing rapidly in front and behind each other, also the technique epaulement, which is a slight turn of the body toward or away from the audience. And most importantly the things she has taught me has really help build my self-esteem, and self worth in all aspects of my life, she also gives me something to look forward to as I continue to take classes.

Hello Carol,

I took your ballet class during the fall and winter session (West LA College) , and it forever enriched my appreciation for this beautiful art form. Your approach, and technique were both brilliant, and indelible. Perris McCracken, a professional level ballet student who also took your class will be performing in the production of "Peter and the Wolf", with "City Ballet of Los Angeles". The performance will be at Ford Amphitheatre on June 6, 2009. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world.

Carol, Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thanks again. I just want to say that this is not business as usual. What you do with these students and teachers, breaks the school walls. Today all the 4th and 5th graders want to be dancers and are walking tall and proud through the halls. I think they are trying to imitate Christopher... 4th and 5th grade teachers are talking to the rest of the staff about the performance and everybody wanted to be part of it... You made a whole community very very happy... and you gave me one of the best days this
year.

I pass by your studio often on my way home and was very impressed to see the young ladies in their black leotards and tights. They looked so professional. Compton is on the move! We don't have to leave our neighborhood, we can make Compton what it used to be. In addition to the various businesses that are growing in the area, we can now add a professional dance studio to the list. My daughters are so excited and I am also. I can't wait for them to begin.

I pass by the school everyday when I am on my way home. I always look through the window of the dance studio and I am so impressed to see the girls uniformed neatly in black leotards, white tights and hair neatly in a bun. This is teaching them perfect pratice makes perfect perfomances. I looking forward to attending a recital, please keep me informed. I have been so excited ever since I noticed your studio on Compton Blvd. Today I stopped by to inquire about dance classes for my daughters. I was directed to your website and I am vey impressed. I and my husband are professionals who have chosen to stay in Compton despite the urge to go elsewhere. I was driving back from Harbor-UCLA Hospital, the whole drive on Redondo turning to Compton, and was nothing but orange hue lights intersperse in the darkness of night. I then spotted your center when I saw a tall young man doing a dance routine through these huge store-front windows that allows you to see everything inside. I immediately wanted to learn more about this cultural oasis in the heart of Compton. Thank you so much for your insight and heart!!! Thank you!!!

I am a loyal and supportive parent of the foundation. I am very pleased with my child's progress in dance and theory. She has gained knowledge and confidence along with building healthy friendships with the other students. The cultural and artistic diversity she has been exposed to through the foundation is priceless. The staff and guest instructors have given these children lessons that will take them far beyond the dance arena.

I'm very pleased with the direction the Foundation is going. My girls are able to see hard work in progress. They are amoung great inspirational women who not only teach them how to dance, but also fill them with pride and selfworth along with grace and dignity.
